dust them wings off
Some days, the best thing you can do is turn your phone off, turn Steve Earle's Townes on, book a flight to Austin, and play some Dr. Mario.
Things to look forward to, keep lookin' up.

Like a couple'a kids.
Sarah and I started decorating the apartment for Christmas today, which I could not be more excited about. We picked up a proper Christmas tree (in addition to our Christmas Rosemary shrub) and carried it home along Bloor belting out Christmas carols at the top of our lungs. Unfortunately we only know about three lines from any given carol, but it was quite the medley.
To keep things balanced, we also concocted a menorah for the windowsill.
Sarah and Jesse (in his Christmas sweater) next to their very first ever Christmas tree!
We semi-hid the mistletoe inside the silver bell, and Murphy is still hanging on our door in the background (the Halloween joke that will never die), but the place is starting to look pretty festive!
We've employed the use of several dozen candles, and the place smells like cinnamon and rollickin' good times. The first batch of holiday cookies is in the coffee table cookie tin, and the first hot chocolate with Baileys is in my belly.
Now I'm just going to listen to this on repeat for the next three days.
